Hi all,
After a long and hard work, I'm proud and excited to announce our new company; Mijosoft LLC. As you can see from the image above, Mijosoft means Mighty Joomla Software.
If you're a follower of my
Twitter account, you may be aware that I dropped my partnership agreement with JoomAce LLC a couple of weeks ago. The main reason of such a decision was the conflicts with the other partner caused by his lack of knowledge in this area. Firstly I offered to him to drop the agreement but he didn't accept so I decided to create a new company and continue the development from there. After that, all of the support and development team of JoomAce dropped their agreements too and decided to join me in the new company, that was a good sign for me.
After that we started forking the extensions for the new company. It was a really hard work as we created a new brand and everything had to be new. It took us about 4 days to port all the extensions according to the new company. Of course that it would took longer if I were alone or not with my expert team by my side. As you may know, extensions in the Joomla world are disctributed under
GNU/GPL license which allows you to fork/convert them as you want.
So is that just a fork?
Of course not. After forking the extensions, we added a lot of new features and fixed a lot of bugs for all of them. Improved their compatibility with Joomla 2.5 and the upcomming 3.0 and more. Keep reading and you'll see that is more...
OpenCart 1.5.3 inside MijoShop
Yes, that is true. We have implemented OpenCart 1.5.3.1 version inside MijoShop. As you may know, AceShop uses a 1 year old version of OpenCart (1.5.1.3) which of course has a lot of bugs and is outdated. The new version of OpenCart adds also a lot of new features such full support for European VAT, order creation and edition from back-end, order fraud system, latest jQuery version etc.
We are aware that OpenCart 1.5.4 was released a couple of days ago but if you're an OpenCart follower, you know that you should always wait for the 1.5.x.1 version to implement it to a live site as the 1.5.x.0 versions mostly contains critical bugs. So the 1.5.4 version of OpenCart will be implemented within 1-2 weeks into MijoShop.
23.08.2012 UPDATE: A
new version of MijoShop has been released with OpenCart 1.5.4.1 inside.
We've also added a migration tool for AceShop customers so they can easily migrate to MijoShop within 4 clicks and an on-site update page where you'll be able update MijoShop from your site, just like Joomla 2.5
MijoACL for Joomla 2.5
This is also a new feature from Mijosoft. Now you can have all the flexibility and power of the MijoACL into Joomla 2.5.
Mehmet, the developer of ACL has worked really hard on this task.
MijoSEF & MijoSearch
I, the initial and only developer of AceSEF, have also improved the Joomla 2.5 and 3.0 of it while converting to MijoSEF. The same improvements has been applied to MijoSearch too by it's developer,
Gilbert. There is also a migration tool inside MijoSEF for AceSEF users.
All-in-one package for MijoPolls
Of course that we've not forgotten the free extensions. We've merged the packages of MijoPolls into one so you can use it for both Joomla 1.5 and 2.5
1.5 & 2.5 distributed together
In the old site, you had to purchase separately Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5 packages. That is over here, you'll get both 1.5 & 2.5 versions together for all of our components.
Personal ID
That is also new. Now you have only one ID, not a Download ID for each purchase like in the old site. So you just have to enter your Personal ID into the proper component's configuration and get on-site updates easlily.
Here you can get your Personal ID.
MijoShop on our site
If you click on the
Downloads section, you'll see MijoShop alive. This will help us to improve & fix MijoShop issues swiftly.
Money back guarantee
Customer satisfaction is our first priority so here you'll get 30 days money back guarantee for all of our extensions.
Is that all?
Nop, we have 2 new components in our oven. One of them will be released next week and the other after 3 weeks. The second one will really fill a gap in the Joomla world.
Who is with you?
Here you can see our team members page.
Multi language support
We will be providing support in 3 languages; English, Dutch and Turkish. Yusuf and Muhammed have lived in the Netherlands for 15 years and can speak/write Dutch fluently.
What about the old company?
I can see they have employed new guys but I can't say anything for them as I don't know them. However, something is certain, they are new in this area and it will take a looong time to them to catch up our experience.
I'm a customer of old company, what should I do?
That is your choice but if you decide work with us then we offer a
100% discount for all of our extensions if your remaining subscription period on the old site is higher than 30 days and you've made the order from the old site before 10 August 2012. All you have to do is to
get in contact with us.
I should certainly thank you if you're reading this line as it was a really long post.
That is all for now,
follow us on Twitter for instant updates.
Cheers!
