Installation & Upgrading

Requirements

There are some requirements that your site/server should support...

Joomla!

2.5 or 3.x

Webserver

Apache, Nginx, IIS, etc.

MySQL

MySQL version 4.1 or greater

PHP Setting

PHP version 5.3.3 or greater

PHP Extensions

(enabled by default) PHP extension pdo and pdo_mysql, or the mysqli extension.

MijoAnalytics is easily installed/upgraded as any Joomla component. It is the implementation of the popular Piwik software into Joomla. That should be done through your site's backend.

Installation
Once you log in, you should open the Extensions => Install/Unistall section and click on the [Browse..] button in the Upload Package File section.

Navigate to the MijoAnalytics file you have downloaded earlier and select it. Then click on the [Upload File & Install] button to start the installation.

Don't forget to UNZIP the downloaded file first and install com_mijoanalytics file.

Upgrade
Just install the new version over the current one. It is highly recommended to back-up your site first using Akeeba Backup component.

Upgrade

MijoAnalytics, on the right top, by showing the last and installed versions, provides us convenience to be up-to-date.

If a new version is released you’ll see a warning message in red color, for example: "MijoAnalytics (Latest): 2.0.0".

Automatic Upgrade

Thanks to this feature, you don't need anymore to download the new version and upload it to the Upgrade page each time you want to upgrade. MijoAnalytics will automatically download the new version and do the upgrade procedure itself.

Do not forget to enter your Personal ID in Mijoanalytics=>Options tab if you want to get automatic upgrades. You just have to click on the Upgrade from Miwisoft server button.

Manual Upgrade

Firstly you should download the latest version from our site (always the latest version is there) then login the administrator area of your website. Go to MijoAnalytics=>Upgrade, browse the downloaded file then click on “Upload File & Install”.

That’s it, MijoAnalytics will be upgraded and we’ll see a message saying: ”Mijoanalytics upgraded successfully”. Now we are using the last version of MijoAnalytics and the warning message in red will be gone.

Note 1 : If you recieve any red message after uprading it means that MijoAnalytics is not upgraded. You should apply what the red message is saying, generally file or folder not writable.

Note 2 : There is no seperate file for Manual Upgrade, the installation file is also available for upgrade.

Note 3 : Nothing will be lost from your settings, statistics, extensions, data, items etc.

Uninstallation

1. Log-in to your Joomla! backend with a Super Administrator account
2. Go to "Extensions => Install / Uninstall"
3. Under Components tab select the MijoAnalytics and click Uninstall button in the toolbar
4. Uninstallation should complete automatically

Keep in mind that the database tables of MijoAnalytics are not removed after uninstallation so if you want to remove them then open your database via phpMyAdmin delete the xyz_mijoanalytics_xyz tables.
