Installation

MiwoAnalytics is easily installed/upgraded as any WordPress plugin. It is the implementation of the popular Piwik software into WordPress. That should be done through your site's backend.

Installation
Once you log in, you should open the Plugins => Add New => Upload section and click on the [Browse..] button in the Upload Package File section. Navigate to the same MiwoAnalytics file you have downloaded earlier and select it. Then click on the [Install Now] button to start the installation. It will install :

1. The main MiwoAnalytics plugin
2. Language files
4. Database table "#__miwoanalytics"

Upgrade

First of all, even we test each new version before the release, it is highly recommended to take a back-up of your site using Akeeba Backup for WordPress plugin before upgrading MiwoAnalytics.

If a new version is released you’ll see a warning message saying :” There is a new version of MiwoAnalytics available for download, please update now!”.
If this warning message did not come up, then please click again on the "Check again" button found in "WordPress Updates" page.

Automatic Upgrade

Thanks to this feature, you don't need anymore to download the new version and upload it to the Upgrade page each time you want to upgrade. MiwoAnalytics will automatically download the new version and do the upgrade procedure itself.

Manual Upgrade

Firstly you should download the latest version from our site (always the latest version is there) then login the administrator area of your website. Follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Plugins => Installed Plugins, deactivate MiwoAnalytics plugin.
  2. Backup possible 'hacked' config-files etc.
  3. Upload the new files to the corresponding folder in my "wp-content/plugins" folder.
  4. Reactivate the plugin.

Do not worry about the database tables, they won't be deleted.

That’s it, MiwoAnalytics will be upgraded. Now you're using the latest version of MiwoAnalytics and the warning message in red will be gone.

Note 1 : If you recieve any red message after uprading it means that MiwoAnalytics is not upgraded. You should apply what the red message is saying, generally file or folder not writable.

Note 2 : There is no seperate file for Manual Upgrade, the installation file is also available for upgrade.

Note 3 : Nothing will be lost from your settings, data, items etc.

Uninstallation

1. Log-in to your WordPress backend with an Administrator account
2. Go to "Plugins => Installed Plugins"
3. Under "All" tab select the MiwoAnalytics, first use the "Deactivate" process then the "Delete" button will be showed
4. Uninstallation should complete automatically after you press "Delete".

Keep in mind that the database table of MiwoAnalytics is not removed after uninstallation so if you want to remove it then open your database via phpMyAdmin delete the xyz_miwpanalytics  table.
