Control Panel

Menu path: Components => MijoSEF => Control Panel)

The control panel is the main page of MijoSEF's administration from which you can control all of MijoSEF's functionality. It is divided into three sections:

1. Top - navigation menu and informative or error messages
2. Left - action buttons (these will be described in another chapters)
3. Right - informative panels

MijoSEF Panel

Provides basic information about the currently installed version of MijoSEF with its links to Miwisoft website, license and Copyright. It also shows the newest version available, if version checker is not disabled.

SEF Status Panel

Shows the status of SEF related configuration on your website with buttons to enable or disable them, so you can control all the most important configuration at one place.

Extensions Panel

Shows MijoSEF Extensions installed. You can click on their names and configure them from where you are.

Statistics Panel

Shows the information about number of URLs stored in MijoSEF's database tables.

Main

MijoSEF

Enable

You can enable or disable MijoSEF to rewrite URLs. This option controls whether MijoSEF will be used to process SEF URLs on your site. If disabled, the standard Joomla! core SEF will be used.
Default value: Yes

Enable Version Checker

If set to Yes, MijoSEF notifies if a new version is enabled. You can disable if there is any connection problem with www.miwisoft.com website.
Default value: Yes

Upgrade

Personal ID

Enter the Personal ID if you have purchased the paid version of MijoSEF. The Personal ID is used to identify your copy and install the copyright-free version.

Instant Cache

Instant cache will use your server's RAM to cache records instantly. It is efficient for small websites with less than 5000 records (URLs + Metadata + Sitemap + Tags + Internal Links). You don't have to clean the instant cache. Use the Permanent Cache for large websites.

Permanent Cache

It's recommended for websites with more than 5000 records (URLs + Metadata + Sitemap + Tags + Internal Links), otherwise you can use the Instant Cache.

Version Info

Caching Version Info will increase the loading speed of the backend area (Control Panel) of MijoSEF. The life time is 1 day for Version Info's cache.
Default value: Yes

Extensions' Parameters

Caching Extensions' Parameters will decrease the queries made to database and speed-up your site.
Default value: No

SEF URLs

Caching SEF URLs will decrease the queries made to database and speed-up your site.
Default value: No

Moved URLs

Caching Moved URLs will decrease the queries made to database and speed-up your site.
Default value: No

Metadata

Caching Metadata will decrease the queries made to database and speed-up your site.
Default value: No

Sitemap

Caching Sitemap will decrease the queries made to database and speed-up your site.
Default value: No

Internal Links

Caching Internal Links will decrease the queries made to database and speed-up your site.
Default value: Yes

SEO

H1 Headings

Surrounding the article titles with h1 tag to indicate their importance. This option is available only in the Joomla 1.5 version.
Default value: No

Nofollow External URLs

Adds the nofollow tag in external URLs.
Default value: No

404 Page

Here you can set the target of the not founded URLs, Custom 404 Page or Home Page.

URLs

Main

Generate new SEF URLs

If this option is set to No, MijoSEF won't create any new SEF URLs and will use only the ones already created. It is useful if you have a web site with static content and all of your URLs are created correctly, so you can be sure that no new URL will be created.
Default value: Yes

Lowercase URLs

If set to YES, all chars in SEF URLs will be lowercase. Otherwise, they will the same as original content title. For example, if the article title is “Team Members” and lowercase URL is no, the SEF URL will be “Team-Members.html”, otherwise, it'll be “team-members.html”.
Default value: Yes

Find ItemID smartly

If set to YES, MijoSEF will try to find the proper ItemID in a smart way. This will prevent Duplicated SEF URLs.
Default value: Yes

Numeral Duplicated URLs

If set to No, duplicate URLs will be stored in database and only one of them will be used. MijoSEF tries to choose the best one, but that is not always possible. If there are many duplicates for one SEF URL, the links probably won't work correctly. If set to Yes, duplicates will be numbered like “-dp1,-dp2, -dp3 ”, so the correct URL will be always used. "No" is recommended because Google doesn't like duplicated content.
Default value: No

Record Duplicated URLs

If set to Yes, Real URLs that yield the same SEF URL will be recorded. This will allow you to choose which one you prefer, assigning it as Used.
Default value: Yes

URL Suffix

If it's blank, there won't be an suffix on SEF URLs. Generally .html is used. If the article title is “Team Members” and the field is blank, the SEF URL will be: “team-members”. If you write “.html” the SEF URL will be “team-members.html”.
Default value: blank

Replacement character

This character will be used to replace unknown and space characters in the URL.
Default value: -

Include parent menus

You can include not only the menu item itself but also their parents into SEF URL.
Default value: No

Menu URL part

You can use title or alias titles for menu URLs. Also, you can disable menu name in “Extensions” page. Make “Skip prefix / menu” = “No” for this.

Use Title or Alias

Use Title or Alias to generate URLs for components' categories and items. You can also set this from each extension parameters.

301 Redirections

www Redirection

Use this option to set how to handle domains with and without www.
No action : MijoSEF will leave domain as it is.
With www : If a domain without www is used to access the site it will be redirected to the same domain with www.
Without www : If a domain with www is used to access the site it will be redirected to the same domain without www.

non-SEF to SEF

If enabled, when accessing the site using the non-SEF URL you will be redirected to the correct SEF URL. If SEF URL does not exist and the “Generate new SEF” option is set to Yes (“No” is recommended for security issues), it will be created on-the-fly.
Default value: Yes

Joomla! SEF to MijoSEF

If set to Yes, Joomla! standard SEF URLs will be redirected to their MijoSEF equivalent with 301 Moved Permanently header, if any in the database. If it does not exists, it will be created on-the-fly.
Default value: Yes

Advanced

Purge Extension's URLs

If this option is set to Yes, MijoSEF will delete all created (except locked) URLs after installation or uninstallation of any extension.
Default value: Yes

Append ItemID to SEF

If is set to Yes, the ItemID will appended to SEF URL. This is useful if you are having problems related with duplicated URLs and want to have unique URLs.
Default value: No

Append limit value to URL

If is set Yes, the limit number will be appended to page number. This option will be valid only if the Items per page parameter is empty in extension's page.
Default value: No

Remove trailing slash

If you select No, category links will have a trailing slash at the end of url. If your site is new, this is not important for SEO but if you used to another SEF component, set this parameter same. Because, search engines sense them 2 different page. For example, if the category title is “Support” and it's set to YES, the SEF URL will be “support”, otherwise it'll be “support/”.
Default value: Yes

Tolerant to trailing slash

If enabled, both URL versions (with and without the trailing slash) will work. Otherwise only one version (the one stored inthe database) will work.
Default value: Yes

Strip characters

These characters will be removed from the SEF URL. Mostly these are characters that are not supported by server configuration.
Default value: ^$%@#()+*!?.~:;|[]{},&¦

Enable Source Tracker

Enabling URL source tracking will help finding the source that generates that non-SEF URL and solve any issue.
Default value: Yes

Insert active ItemID

Insert active menu ItemID if no ItemID is included in Real URL (not SEF).
Default value: No

Remove Session ID

If set to No, the SID variable will not be removed from SEF URL. This may help some components to work properly, but also can create duplicates with some others.
Default value: No

Set QUERY_STRING

If set to Yes, the server QUERY_STRING variable will be set according to parsed variables. Fixes some redirection problems with VirtueMart and other components. You can disable it if you dont use VirtueMart.
Default value: Yes

Base href values

Controls the way the base href value is generated. May be used to fix some problems like images not shown correctly when using SEF URLs.
Leave original : MijoSEF leave the original Joomla! Base href.
Use SEF URL : The base href will be generatedusing the current SEF URL.
Use Home page :
Disable : The base href will not be generated at all.
Default value: Use Home Page

Use non-SEF variables

Excludes often changing variables from SEF URL and appends them as non-SEF query. This will decrease database usage and also prevent duplicate URLs in some extensions.
Default value: Yes

Record 404 errors

Whether the non-existent URLs should be stored in the 404 Log. If disabled, the number of SQL queries may be decreased, but you won't be able to see hits to non-existent pages (you may use the Google Webmaster Tools for this).
Default value: Yes

Log 404 errors

Log 404 errors in a phisical log file.
Default value: No

Language

Main language

You can select the language which will not have the language code integrated into the SEF URL. This language is also used when user opens the frontpage and language is not determined from browser or cookie.
Default value: -None-

Delete main lang variable

Delete main language variable from Real URL, i.e. "&lang=en" will be deleted if set to Yes.
Default value: No

Insert Language code

Prepend language code to URL.
Default value: Yes

Translate URL

Whether the titles in the SEF URLs should be translated to match the language.
Default value: Yes

Language determination

If language not set right, the browser language code will be used.
Default value: Yes

Save language in cookies

Whether the last used language should be stored in the cookie so when user opens your page again, the same language as last time will be used. This is also useful when some component uses redirections without the lang variable set - in such case, the page will not change the language randomly, but the current language is preserved.
Default value: Yes

Non-ascii characters

Unicode (UTF-8) URLs

If set to Yes, all the characters except Strip Characters will be allowed in URLs. At the same time, the non-ascii char replacements won't be applied.
Default value: No

Char replacement list

Here you can set the character pairs for replacement - the first character in a pair is replaced by the second one in the URL. Characters in the pair are separated by | (pipe character) and pairs are separated by comma.

Global variables

non-SEF variables

List of globally applied non-SEF variables that will be removed from SEF URL and appended behind. Separate by: catid, view=article.

disable-SEF variables

List of globally applied disable-SEF variables that will prevent creation of SEF URLs in case of they are included in Real URL. Separate by comma: catid, view=article.

Skip-menu variables

List of globally applied skip-menu variables that will prevent prepending menu title to SEF URLs in case of they are included in Real URL. Separate by comma: catid, view=article.

Force SSL

Force site access to always occur under SSL (https) for selected areas. You will not be able to access selected areas under non-ssl. Note, you must have SSL enabled on your server to utilize this option.

Metadata

Main

Handle core tags

If set to No, MijoSEF won’t handle meta title, description and keywords in no circumstances.
Default value: Yes

Show Title meta tag

The HTML tag is automatically added. If you wish you can also add the Meta tag.
Default value: Yes

Extra Tags

Generator Tags

Replace the 'Joomla! 1.5 - Open Source Content Management' meta tag.

Remove Generator Tag

Removes the Generator meta tag.
Default value: Yes

Abstract Tag

The Abstract Tag defines a brief abstraction of your website like: SEO Solutions.

Revisit Tag

The Revisit Tag defines how many days the search engine should revisit your website like: 2 Days.

Lang Direction Tag

Language reading direction. 'ltr' => left-to-right and 'rtl' => right-to-left.

Google Key

Authentication Key for this site from Google Webmaster Tools.

Live.com Key

Authentication Key for this website from Live.Com Webmaster Central.

Yahoo Key

Authentication Key for this site from Yahoo Site Explorer.

Alexa Key

Authentication Key for this site from Alexa.

Custom Tags

You can set three (3) custom tags.

Automatic Metadata: Options

Enable auto Title

Automatically generates meta title per component. You can also set this from each extension parameters.
Default value: Yes

Enable auto Description

Automatically generates meta description per component. "If empty" means automatic metadata will be generated only if you have not filled it from your component, i.e. articles of Content component. You can also set this from each extension parameters.

Enable auto Keywords

Automatically generates meta keywords per component. "If empty" means automatic metadata will be generated only if you have not filled it from your component, i.e. articles of Content component. You can also set this from each extension parameters.

Automatic Metadata: Title

Seperator

This is the character that separates your page titles from your site name.

Custom site name

Enter a custom site name to use for page title.

Include site name

Include site name in title.

Prefix

Prefix to add before page title.

Suffix

Suffix to add after page title.

Automatic Metadata: Keywords

Blacklist

List of words which won't be listed as keywords. Separate words with commas.

Whitelist

List of words that if found in the text will be added to keywords with priority. A word from whitelist will be listed before other keywords even if it is repeated only 1 time in the text.

Sitemap

XML

Dinamic Link

You can use this link for submitting your sitemap to Google and/or Yahoo, just copy and paste it. You can use the start & limit variables to get paginated / splitted XML sitemap. For example:

index.php?option=com_MijoSEF&view&sitemap&format=xml&start=5&limit=3

The above link will get 3 URLs starting from the 5th URL and display them in XML sitemap.

Static file

You can also use a static XML file instead of dynamic link. Do not end with .xml

Show date

If set to Yes, date column will be contained in XML file.
Default value: Yes

Show frequency

If set to Yes, frequency column will be contained in XML file.
Default value: Yes

Show priority

If set to Yes, priority column will be contained in XML file
Default value: Yes

Ping

Ping after XML generation

Ping the sitemap to Google, Yahoo! and Bing (not Services) automatically after you click on Generate XML on Sitemap page.

Yahoo! Application ID

Enter your Yahoo! Application ID.

Ping Services

List of services to ping, each service seperated by comma and space.

Enable

If is set to YES, every new generated SEF URL will be added automatically to Sitemap according to the following settings.

If set to YES, automatic sitemap generation feature will be applied only to URLs passed through category filter that is set in extension's parameters.

Filter SEF URLs

Enter the words that if they will be found in SEF URL then the keywords of that URL won't be added in sitemap page, seperated by comma and space.

Filter Real URLs

How Enter the words that if they will be found in Real URL then the keywords of that URL won't be added in sitemap page, seperated by comma and space.

Automatic Sitemap: Cron Task (Scheduling)

Cron Frequency

Cron task is only for static XML file, not for dynamic link. It'll automatically Generate XML file on a predefined interval without requiring CRON support from your host. SEF URL means every SEF URL is generated.

Generate XML

Re-Generate (add to) XML automatically according to cron frequency.
Default value: Yes

Ping Crawlers

Ping Google, Yahoo and Bing automatically according to cron frequency.
Default value: No

Ping Services

Ping pingomatin, technorati etc automatically according to cron frequency.

Internal Links

Enable

Extensions

In fact most of MijoSEF options/features are included in this section. Each component has its own options.

Install / Upgrade

You can quickly install a new or upgrade manually any extension by selecting the ZIP file and subsequently clicking the "Upload file & Install" button. Try to change your browser fi you came across with any issue.

Toolbar

Uninstall

You can select one or more extensions and uninstall them on the fly. Note that if you perform the install or uninstall action, the URLs of the proper component will be deleted, with the exception of Locked URLs.

Save

Saves the changes you've made with "Router", "Custom Prefix" and "Skip prefix / menu" fields.

Save & Delete URLs

Saves the changes you've made with "Router", "Custom Prefix" and "Skip prefix / menu" fields and delete the URLs of selected or filtered components.
This is a fantastic feature of MijoSEF. After you've made changes on 1 or more extensions you can Delete the URLs of those components by just selecting or filtering them and then clicking on Apply.

Save & Update URLs

You can select one or more extensions and save the changes done, after that MijoSEF will generate the new SEF URL + create a 301 redirection from the old to the new one.

Clean Cache

You can delete even a single record from the cache.

Functions

Ext. Status

From this field you can upgrade, get or order an extension. Click here to learn how to upgrade commercial extensions automatically.

Router

MijoSEF offers 3 types of URL rewriting and you are free to choose the router that best suits you:
1. MijoSEF extension (recommended)
2. Component's router ( file written by the proper component developer(s) )
3. MijoSEF basic router

If you install a new extension, the router will be set automatically to MijoSEF extension router type (the recommended one). Component's router file is written by the proper component developer(s). You can also use MijoSEF basic router or if you don't want to rewrite URLs for any component you can select the last option, "Disable SEF", so that URLs will remain as the default Joomla! style.

Custom Prefix

If you have pointed your component to a lot of menu items but you want one prefix to be prepended, enter the prefix you prefer to use in this field.

Skip prefix / menu

You can also skip the menu title or prefix so the URLs will start directly with category name.

Extensions Parameters

As you can see there are six tabs of options. URL tab has 2 parts, "Extension Specific Parameters" and "Common Parameters". Each extension is made according the component that represent. In this way, "Extension Specific Parameters" part is different for each extension. On the other hand, the second one (Common Parameters) and other tabs are same for all extensions.

URLs

Numeral Duplicated URLs

If you have different pages with same titles and want to use both of them (not to set which one to be active and other inactive) then you should set to YES this option.

Record duplicated URLs

If set to Yes, all non-SEF URLs that yield the same SEF URL will be recorded. This will allow you to choose which one you prefer, assigning it as Used.

Items per page

Some 1.5 Native components don't no longer use the $limit(items per page) value in URLs. With MijoSEF you can define for each component the $limit(items per page) value so you’ll have 100% accurate pagination in your URLs.

Override ItemID

If you’re having problems with multiple ItemID’s for one component you can override the ItemID’s of the proper component's URLs.

non-SEF variables

Variables that will be removed from SEF URL and appended behind. This feature excludes often changing variables from SEF URL and appends them as non-SEF query and will decrease database usage and also prevent duplicate URLs in some components. Enter each variable separated by comma and space like: var1, var2, var3, view=article.

disable-SEF Variables

Variables that will prevent the creation of SEF URLs in case of they are included in the Real URL. This feature is useful especially with components that use AJAX, Captcha etc. functions that do not require being SEF'ed. Enter each variable separated by comma and space like: var1, var2, var3, view=article.

Skip-menu variables

Variables that will prevent prepending menu title to SEF URLs in case of they are included in Real URL. Separate by: catid, view=article.

URL Part

This is one of the best features of MijoSEF. You can specify for each component which field will be used in URL, title or alias.

Metadata

In this section you can enable, disable or edit the options for automatic metadata generation.

Add page number

You can add page number after title on pagination case.

Add title to description

If set to Yes, page title will be added to description.

Clip description by

Generating metadata got a new logic design. Metadata can be generated by cliping sentences, words or characters. Choise is yours.

List to use as blacklist

You can select which list you want to use as blacklist for keywords generations.
Combined List : MijoSEF will combine for you both lists, global list and extensins' list.

List to use as whitelist

You can select which list you want to use as whitelist for keywords generations.
Combined List : MijoSEF will combine for you both lists, global list and extensins' list.

Sitemap

Filter SEF URLs

You can enter words that are found in SEF URL and this URL won't be added in sitemap.

Filter Real URLs

You can enter words that are found in Real URL and this URL won't be added in sitemap.

Social Bookmarks

Show icons

You can control icons' position. You can show Social Bookmarks' icons before/after text or where you have placed the placeholder.

Restore / Migrate

After you got a backup of MijoSEF URLs, Metadata, Sitemap, Tags ,Internal Links or Social Bookmarks you can easily restore them. At the same time you can migrate AceSEF / JoomSEF / sh404SEF SEF URLs & Metadata to MijoSEF.

On Restore / Migrate page of MijoSEF we can see 6 parts. 2 for MijoSEF, 1 for AceSEF, 1 for JoomSEF, 1 for sh404SEF and 1 for Joomla! SEF (info). Getting a backup of MijoSEF is too easy, also restoring. You can migrate SEF URLs and Meta tags of AceSEF & JoomSEF from one place, but for sh404SEF you have to migrate each of them from different places.

Firstly let’s see how can we get the files we want to import.

MijoSEF

MijoSEF have many ways to export files. Go to Control Panel => Restore / Migrate , here you can get a backup of all files for each feature, just by clicking on his own button. At the same time, you can go to URLs, Metadata, Sitemap, Tags, Internal Links or Social Bookmarks, select or filter records, later select "Backup" from the right-top select-box and click on Apply. After that, You will get files like mijosef_urls.sql for SEF URLs, or mijosef_metadata.sql for Metadata, or mijosef_sitemap.sqlfor Sitemap etc.

AceSEF

Go to Control Panel => Restore / Migrate , here you can get a backup of all files for each feature, just by clicking on his own button. At the same time, you can go to URLs, Metadata, Sitemap, Tags, Internal Links or Social Bookmarks, select or filter records, later select "Backup" from the right-top select-box and click on Apply. After that, You will get files like acesef_urls.sql for SEF URLs, or acesef_metadata.sql for Metadata, or acesef_sitemap.sql for Sitemap etc.

JoomSEF

Go to “Manage SEF URLs” from JoomSEF Control Panel. Here you can select one by one each URL and click on “Export Selected” or you can filter URLs then click on “Export All Filtered” and the file will be downloaded as “joomsef_custom_urls.sql”.

sh404SEF

For sh404SEF URLs you should go to control panel, click on "Import/Export URLs" icon then click on "Export redirections" and the file will be downloaded as “sh404SEF_sef_urls.csv”.
For sh404SEF Meta Tags you should go to control panel, click on "Meta tags" icon then click on "Import/ export META" in the right top and at least click on "Export Meta tags" button then file will be downloaded as “sh404SEF_meta.csv”.

Migrating

Each exported file should be installed from his own place and clicking on the right button. MijoSEF backuped files should be installed only from MijoSEF part, don't try to install from the other parts. The same rule for other components' files.
JoomSEF files can be instaled from the same button, sh404SEF SEF URLs & Metadata files should be installed from their own buttons.

Here we are in the URL management section where you can add, edit, publish, lock deletion, delete, block rewrite and export each URL.
URLs page has 10 parts, each part does different job.

SEF URLs

Published

If you have an URL that is moved to another page and you can't prevent the generation of the old (moved) URL then you can unpublish the old one so the New URL will be active.

Used (Duplicated URLs Management)

As mentioned in the Configuration section, with this function you can manage same URLs. As you can see in the screen above some identical URLs are marked. In the Used column one has a solid star and other has a half solid star. The solid star means that this Real URL will be used for this SEF URL. As you can see it is very easy to manage duplicated URLs.
This function is also important for Red URLs. Take a look at Terminology article about Red URLs.

Reset Use

When you have selected a URL as Used and you want to change this, you can do it with "Reset Use" fonction. URL will be as it was at first time generated.

Locked

This is also one of the futures that only MijoSEF has. You can set your important URLs to be locked from both deletion and purge actions.

Set Tags

With this function you can enable/disable showing tags to any URL you want.

Set I. Links

The meaning is "Set Internal Links". With this function you can enable/disable showing internal links to any URL you want.

Set S. Bookmarks

The meaning is "Set Social Bookmarks". With this function you can enable/disable showing social bookmarks to any URL you want.

Unpublish Tag

You can unpublish any tag that you have added to whole URLs you selected or filtered. Don't forget to write the right tag.

Cache

You can cache each link one by one, or you can select / filter and chache them.

Generate URLs

This is a new feature of MijoSEF. This is the end of the necessity of browsing the website to generate SEF URLs. With it's new and advanced URL generation method,MijoSEF will browse your website itself and generate SEF URLs on-the-fly. It's very useful for websites with less than 1000 URLs

Edit URLs

Here you can do all functions of MijoSEF just for the URLs you opened to edit. You can edit SEF & Real URL, Metadata, Sitemap, Tags, Internal Links and Social Bookmarks for one URL. Also you can see the sorce of the URL.

Save & Moved

This offers you to create a Moved URL automaticly if you are changing the SEF URL but because of the old SEF URL has been indexed by spiders you want to create a 301 redirection to the new one.

Moved URLs (301 redirects)

The New, Change, Publish, Delete etc actions has the same functionalities as in SEF URLs section. Creating/editing a Moved URL is very simple, just enter the old URL into From URL field and the new URL into To URL field. MijoSEF will create a 301 redirection from the old to the new URL. You can also redirect to an URL not in your site by prepending http:// in front of the To URL.

Note 1 : Do not enter your domain into the "From URL" field.
Note 2 : If the From URL is still being generated by MijoSEF in SEF URLs, Custom URLs or 404 URLs sections, do not delete but unPublish or Trash it. Both URLs must be only SEF, not Real URL.

Quick Edit

This is the newest feature that offers you to edit all SEF & Real URLs as fast as you can. You don't have to open URLs one by one no more. Editing URLs from one central screen will save 95% your time.

Trash

You don't want an URL to be generated again and again, then trash it. The URL will be unpublished so if anybody tries to enter with its SEF & Real URL he will get 404 error. Of course if there is no 301 redirection for this URL.

Metadata

Here you can add, edit, delete, clean, cache and publish metadatas for each URL.

As you can see there are 3 parts, All Metadata, Duplicated Title and Duplicated Description. Duplicated Title part can filter all URLs that have same title, Duplicated Description part can filter all URLs that have same Description.

Generate Metadata

One of the newest features of MijoSEF 1.5 . If you have a large website and you don't have time to add metadatas manually, you can generate new metadata just by clicking on "Generate Metadata" automatically with MijoSEF's help.

New

As you can see, here you can add metadata items manually. It provides SEF URL suggestion and completion getting it from your URLs table. Metadata items/records are related but not the same with URLs which means deleting any URL won't delete the related Metadata item/record.

Edit

Here you can edit each item one by one. First select one item and then click on Edit.

Apply

After you make changes you can save all changes on one time, select items and click on apply.

Clean

Cleaning does not mean deleting, clean function just make empty the text of the record. If you want to clean the title / description / keywords of more than one item, you can use this function. Just select the items, set clean option and click on apply. This is the shortest way for cleaning.

Update

When you made changes on title or description and you want to see the result of this change on metadata, you should select the item, set update option and click on apply. All changes will be done for the item you selected.

Cache / Uncache

You can cache or uncache all metadatas one by one, by selecting or filtering the records.

Backup

You can get a backup of metadata by selecting or filtering the items you want.

On-edit-page metadata

Using MijoSEF Metadata Plugins you can edit your metadata without having to go to this (MijoSEF=>Metadata) page. Note that the URL for that article should be created (it doesn't show when you're creating new article) and it doesn't work with JoomFish installed. Also, it works only in backend.

The age of manually sitemap is closed. Now, just like other sitemap components like Joomap or Xmap, MijoSEF generates dynamic XML sitemap so you just have to add your sitemap link to Google/Yahoo then get out of the way, it'll be updated automatically. Of course, no plugin obligation.

You can create a sitemap in XML format for ALL components without any plugin obligation. In contrarily from other Joomla! sitemap components, you can manage ALL sitemap's items, can set different date, frequency, priority or parent each sitemap's item.

Be aware that if you want to use static XML file then you should enable Cron Task in Configuration or click on "Generate XML" buton if you new URLs has been created.

Toolbar

New / Edit

You can add or edit all items for sitemap manually. Sitemap items/records are related but not the same with URL and/or Metadata which means deleting any URL/Metadata records won't delete the related Sitemap item/record.

Apply

To include the filtered items in sitemap you should click on apply after making the date, frequency and priority changes. If you've set to Yes the "Ping after XML generation" in MijoSEF configuration, the sitemap will be pinged to Google, Yahoo! and Bing.

Generate Sitemap

You can generate the sitemap items automatically according to your Configuration & URLs just by clicking on Generate Sitemap.

Generate XML

This functionality is useful if you use static XML file instead of dynamic link. It will add your published sitemap items to the XML file.

Set Parent, Date, Frequency or Priority

You can make changes on these options for any item or items you select or filter.

Ping Google, Yahoo, Bing

This will ping the sitemap to Google, Yahoo or Bing so that spiders will be notified about the changes you've made.

Ping Services

Ping your sitemap to services such as pingomatic, technorati etc. Do not forget to add these services in MijoSEF=>Configuration=>Sitemap=>Ping Services field. Note that Services can be pinged only if you're using the the File sitemap type, not Dynamic link.

Backup

You can get a backup by selecting or filtering the items.

HTML sitemap

ID, Parent and Order columns

These columns are used to set which item/URL should be displayed after/under the other one. If you want to display any item/URL under another one then you should paste the ID of the superior item/URL to the Parent field of the subjacent item/URL. In this way you can obtain a hierarchal HTML view of your sitemap.

To display the sitemap, just like other components such as Xmap, add a menu item for MijoSEF component.

Internal Links

Internal Links allows you to link any word of your text to any URL automatically through MijoSEF, without any plugin obligation.

New / Edit

This is the screen you can add or edit internal links. Link can be pointed to an external websites too, you don't need to add the domain if you're linking to your own website.

Nofollow / Remove Nofollow

Select which links you want to add as Nofollow and click on "Apply" button.Remove function will set option back as it was at first.

New Window / Remove New Window

Choose if you want that link to be open on a new window or not. Remove function will set option back as it was at first.

Cache

If you've set internal links to be cached on Configuration=>Main=>Permanent Cache then you should make sure you've added each internal link to cache.

Social Bookmarks

This is one of the new amazing features of MijoSEF 1.5 . You can display social bookmarks wherever you want on for each component without any plugin obligation.

Icons are individual bookmarks, iconsets are set of bookmarks provided by services like AddThis.com, badge are bookmarks that are bigger and generally includes shared counter. Icons are displayed automatically by MijoSEF before/after text or using placeholder but iconsets and badges are displayed only by using placeholders.

This is the screen you can add or edit social bookmarks.

Iconset & Badge

For these 2 types of bookmarks, you should copy-paste the placeholder to any place of description (manually) . Take a look at the following screenshots.
